“Change your perspective” is not just a phrase or a slogan, but an invitation to read beyond the technical and sporting values of San Patrignano’s CSI5*, the world’s only professional sports event organized by the boys and girls of a drug rehabilitation community.

It is an invitation to consider the educational importance of sport and how at San Patrignano the man/horse relationship becomes an extraordinary means of helping people finish with drugs and remembering Vincenzo Muccioli, the community’s founder, to whose memory one of the most important large-scale international show jumping events is dedicated.

The image of the 2010 edition of the CSI5* also offers an unusual perspective on this sport. The subject is a classic: the rider and his horse jumping an obstacle. But the direction of the jump is completely vertical. Horse riding’s technical position par excellence heads in an unexpected surprising direction.

It explains us what the contest has meant for fourteen years for all the youngsters: the opportunity to show it is possible to overcome any obstacle in life.
