San Patrignano 2009, a parade of medals

in

San Patrignano’s CSI in 2009 is certainly a competition worthy of Olympic gold. In fact, many of the riders present have a few of their own under their belt, along with a slew of other honors. Some of them seem really to have won nearly everything there is to win!
San Patrignano has welcomed such greats as Eric Lamaze and Hickstead, individual gold and team silver medalists at the last Olympics in Hong Kong. The Beerbaum “family”, meanwhile, has been visiting the Community for years now. Both Ludger and Meredith, the only woman to h ave won three World Cups on the same horse (Shutterfly), are here again this year. The 1998 World Champion at the Rome WEg and gold medallist at Athens in 2004, Rodrigo Pessoa, is also competing, as is individual and team bronze medallist at San Patrignano 2005, Christina Lieheberr. Three of the four members of the World Championship team at Aachen in 2006 are also on course: Albert Zoer, Gerco Schoerder and Jeroen Dubbeldam.

They may have the job of setting up fences for horses to jump during San Patrignano’s CSI, but they themselves have come to the Community to overcome their own obstacles. It’s truly a paradox, the work of the young men in San Patrignano’s carpentry workshop.

The Gran Prix ‘Acqua Uliveto’ Challenge Vincenzo Muccioli di San Patrignano doubles its presence on Raisport Più. The GP will be broadcasted live on digital and satellite TV station (channel 227 in the Sky platform) tonight at 21.45 instead of 22.30.

In this way, the audience could follow the last competition almost entirely.
The Grand Prix will start at 21.30 with the first phase of the race followed by the fascinating barrage.

The first day of competition at San Patrignano’s CSI5* finished with a sepctacular victory by Italian Gianni Govoni and Love Affair in the small Grand Prix.

History repeats itself. As it happened for all great horses born in San Patrignano’s stables and then gained a spot in the world, as Avenir, Quel type d’elle, Sri Lanka e Cassandra. Also Nadir, run by the young rider Valentina Interlenghi, competing at CSI 5* Challenge Vincenzo Muccioli, was followed by a team of grooms formed in the Community.
