in

San Patrignano’s CSI5* Vincenzo Muccioli Challenge reconfirmed its place as one of the world’s best shows this year. “L’Année Hippique”, a veritable bible of equitation published annually by BCM, in collaboration with the International Jumping Riders Club, in fact chose San Patrignano’s annual summer show as the second best all around. The winners are chosen each year by the riders themselves competing in show jumping, dressage and three day eventing.

After claiming the top spot last year and in 2006, San Patrignano remains one of the most loved shows, for the organization, facilities and surroundings. First place this year went to Geneva, an indoor competition. This means that San Patrignano is still considered the best outdoor show, ahead of world renowned events like Aachen.

The riders’ love for San Patrignano is due not only to the excellent facilties and organization, but most certainly to the unique environment San Patrignano provides. In fact, it is the only such competition to be entirely organized inside a therapeutic community for the rehabilitation of people suffering from drug addiction. The 1500 young men and women of the Community work together to make sure everything is just so, guided by Eleonora Ottaviani and Emile Hendrix, two legends in the world of equestrian sports. The next edition of the show is set for July 20-22, 2012.
